Check Collingsworth County VINELink

A Collingsworth County VINELink inmate check now requires care with Texas's changing notification systems. The county still points readers to the legacy service, while the state directs county users to its newer notification portal. To check a Collingsworth County inmate on VINELink or its current successor, search for one well-identified person and read the reporting agency, event words, and update time together. Notification tools can flag a release, transfer, or other custody change. They do not replace the jail's release record, the court judgment, or state corrections history when a precise fact must be proved.

Collingsworth VINELink Release Fields

VINE and IVSS are custody-information and notification services. A live record may show an identity reference, reporting agency, facility, custody status, event, and update time supplied by a participating source. Registration associates contact preferences with the selected record. The exact labels must be read from the live result. No authentic Collingsworth released-result screen was captured, so a specific local release label should not be invented.

FieldHow to read it
Name or identifierHelps distinguish the intended person from a same-name record; compare all available identity facts.
Reporting agencyShows which custodian supplied the event and which office should confirm it.
Facility or locationIdentifies the reported holding source; a new location may indicate transfer, not release.
Custody status or eventMust be quoted exactly because release, transfer, and other changes have different meanings.
TimestampShows when the displayed information was current, not necessarily the exact moment of release.
Registration statusShows whether alert preferences were saved for that selected record.
Important: A notification is a timely lead. It does not certify the court outcome or preserve a complete historical release record.

Register Collingsworth Release Alerts

Register from the matched IVSS-Counties record only after confirming the person and reporting source. The Texas Attorney General describes one-time registration and preference management. Current instructions do not document a required PIN. A four-digit telephone PIN belongs to older VINE materials and should be treated as historical unless the live screen itself asks for one.

  1. Select registration on the matched record. Do not register from an uncertain same-name result.
  2. Choose the offered delivery methods. Use only the phone, text, email, or other options the current screen displays.
  3. Enter the requested contact information. Check it for errors before submitting.
  4. Set the available preferences. Select event and language choices as the portal permits.
  5. Complete the displayed confirmation. Follow the live verification step rather than relying on an old brochure.
  6. Retain the registration record. Save the confirmation and return to preference management if a contact method changes.

The OAG lists round-the-clock English and Spanish assistance at 866-268-8959. Recheck registration after a transfer. A person who enters TDCJ custody has moved to a separate state IVSS system, so a county registration may not follow that person through every later agency.

Collingsworth VINE to IVSS Shift

Collingsworth has a distinctive digital mismatch. Its sheriff page still names VINELink, while the Texas OAG notification overview says counties moved to IVSS-Counties and warns that participation is not universal. Both statements matter. The sheriff link documents local history. The state notice controls the current statewide direction.

As a result, check the new county portal first, but do not claim coverage until Collingsworth is offered. If it is absent, call the jail. If the person appears, still confirm whether the event means release into the community or transfer to another custodian. This extra step prevents a stale county link from being treated as proof of current data flow.

The current IVSS-Counties portal is shown below.

Note: Never use another county's record or a commercial jail page to fill a gap in Collingsworth County participation.

Collingsworth TDCJ Release Alerts

A Collingsworth County case can lead to a TDCJ unit elsewhere in Texas. County of conviction does not identify the physical prison. Once the person enters state custody, use TDCJ IVSS for state notification and the official TDCJ offender-information channels for status. The public online inmate search covers people currently incarcerated in a TDCJ facility and uses data that is at least one day old.

A future Projected Release Date is not an actual exit. A Scheduled Release Date can also change while review, audit, release-plan, and certificate work continues. After release on parole or mandatory supervision, the person is outside the prison unit but remains under TDCJ supervision. For a past event, request incarceration history and actual release or discharge information. TDCJ's email channel accepts the full name with the TDCJ number, or other listed identity facts when the number is unknown.

Projected
A calculated future date, not proof of departure.
Scheduled
An operational release date that remains subject to processing and change.
Released
Physical departure from the named custodian, with the release type still needing review.
Discharged
The relevant sentence and supervision have ended.

Document Collingsworth Jail Release

A portal alert is strongest when paired with the record made by the agency that held the person. For a Collingsworth County Jail event, ask first whether the person is physically held now. If not, ask whether the releasable entry identifies bond, sentence completion, court release, transfer, or another destination. Transfer to TDCJ, another county, federal authorities, or ICE is an exit from sheriff custody but not proof that the person returned to the community.

When a document is needed, send the sheriff a focused request for one booking episode. Include the full name, date of birth if lawfully known, approximate booking date, and booking or cause number when available. Ask for the existing booking date and time, booking number, arresting agency, public charge and cause fields, release date and time, release type or destination, and any public other-hold information. Protected data may be withheld or redacted.

The court record supplies the legal context. A bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, jail-credit entry, or revocation can explain why custody changed. It may not show the exact minute jail staff completed release processing. Judicial records come from the clerk under court-record procedures, while the sheriff's booking record is requested under the Texas Public Information Act. Use both when the event wording in IVSS is too broad.

Confirm Collingsworth Custody Changes

Notification systems do not cover every custodian or every time span. IVSS does not certify a court disposition, calculate parole eligibility, guarantee instant synchronization, or preserve an endless archive. The Texas DPS Sex Offender Registry is separate and applies only to people with a legal registration duty. It is not a released-inmate list.

For a county jail event, call the sheriff and request the underlying booking-and-release record. For a state-prison event, use TDCJ incarceration history, Parole Division status, or a formal records request. For a federal sentence, search the BOP Inmate Locator and read its release date with the location or custody label. For possible immigration custody, use ICE's locator. A negative federal result can be limited by identifiers, coverage, or update time and does not prove community release.

A court file answers a different question. The judgment, bond order, dismissal, sentence, or revocation can explain the legal basis for custody changing, while the sheriff or prison record supplies the physical exit event. Pair the two when exact proof matters. The site's broader Collingsworth County release search explains how to route a case when the last custodian is not known.

BOP locator coverage is principally from 1982 forward. Its word “RELEASED” means the person is no longer in BOP custody, but another jurisdiction or supervision may remain. ICE's locator is not a long-term archive and can include qualifying people released from ICE custody only within its limited recent window. Neither system is part of VINELink, and neither proves what happened in a Collingsworth jail booking.

Verify before acting: Match the person, reporting agency, event words, and timestamp, then confirm urgent or unclear results with that agency.
